5 Colorado Non Profits to Give Back to this Giving Tuesday

  • Posted on

Colorado is known for its breathtaking landscapes and endless opportunities for outdoor recreation. It's also home to a number of incredible non-profits that work tirelessly to make it that way.

This Giving Tuesday, consider giving back to one of these deserving organizations. From animal welfare to environmental conservation, Colorado historical sites, and more;  there's something for everyone on this list. So dig deep and donate what you can to help support these worthy causes!

Conservation Colorado | https://conservationco.org/

We work to protect Colorado’s climate, air, land, water, and communities through organizing, advocacy, and elections. Powerful interests are constantly pushing to put pollution and profit over public health. We are at the front lines working to protect the air, land, water, and people across our state.

Colorado Preservation Inc | www.coloradopreservation.org

Since 1983, CPI has played an important role in safeguarding the state's irreplaceable architecture, artifacts, and built environment for generations to come.

To achieve this goal, CPI works with local communities on grant programs and educational initiatives; encourages proper stewardship of historic buildings through public education and advocacy; assists with development projects that take into account the impact on local heritage; and celebrates those who have helped preserve our rich cultural legacy.

Keep It Colorado  |  www.keepitco.org

Keep It Colorado is the only coalition in Colorado that elevates the voice of organizations doing on-the-ground private lands conservation.

The organization seeks to promote the responsible use of natural ecosystems while encouraging sustainable economic growth. Through its partnership with local communities, businesses, and legislators, the group works to ensure that Colorado remains an accessible place for everyone to enjoy outdoor activities.

Colorado Parks & Wildlife  |  www.cpw.state.co.us

This state agency is responsible for the care, protection, and management of Colorado's natural resources. Their mission is to protect and manage wildlife, sustain healthy ecosystems and ultimately enrich the quality of life for present and future generations in our diverse state.

They work together with landowners, scientists, and environmental groups to ensure that healthy habitats are sustained in order to provide refuge and support to an abundance of wildlife species living within our state.

Colorado Youth Outdoorswww.coloradoyo.org

Colorado Youth Outdoors is a program bringing kids and parents closer through outdoor recreation. To accomplish this mission, CYO integrates the phrases Participate, Appreciate, Communicate, and Dedicate into our recreation curriculum.

They call this method of integration the PACD Model and incorporate it within all of their programs and activities, including fishing, archery, camping, shooting sports, and nature play.

This Giving Tuesday offers an opportunity for us all to give back to the state that we so lovingly vacation, travel to, or even live in—for those who may be able—consider donating funds towards these incredible non-profits operating throughout Colorado.

Each one makes an impact on communities both locally and statewide while providing invaluable resources that would otherwise not be available without their help! Your contribution will make sure that they are able to continue their mission. Thank you for considering supporting any one of these great organizations this Giving Tuesday.
